Ciera Teets is a dynamic and fiercely dedicated attorney whose litigation experience spans Civil, Criminal, and Dependency matters. Known for her tenacity in the courtroom and her unwavering commitment to client advocacy, Ciera brings a results-driven, strategic approach to every case.

Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ciera relocated to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue her legal career. Prior to joining Howard Genzon, Ciera served as a Public Defender where she represented parents navigating complex juvenile dependency proceedings. In this role, she handled cases from inception through resolution, gaining extensive hands-on experience in:

Developing litigation strategies
Drafting and arguing dispositive motions
Managing high-stakes settlement negotiations
Conducting fact and expert depositions
Preparing for trial and post-judgment challenges

Ciera now focuses her legal practice on surety law, working extensively with Contractor State License bonds, probate bonds, and motor vehicle dealership bonds. Her breadth of experience across multiple practice areas allows her to anticipate issues from every angle and deliver effective, thoughtful, and client-centered representation.

Outside the courtroom, Ciera enjoys gardening, experimenting with new recipes, and passionately cheering on the best team in Los Angeles — the Dodgers.
