Elmira Howard is a seasoned litigation attorney and founding partner of Howard | Genzon LLP, with extensive experience counseling and representing clients in complex commercial, real estate, insurance, and surety litigation. Her practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including construction and property contract disputes, lien and title disputes, fraud and business torts, bad faith claims, insurance coverage disputes, easements and boundary disputes, lender and escrow liability, real estate broker and salesperson liability, and real estate financing, among other sophisticated real estate and insurance matters.
Elmira also has significant experience representing surety companies in litigation involving commercial bonds, license and permit bonds, construction bonds, and court bonds. She has tried numerous high-profile and complex cases on behalf of title insurance companies, surety companies, real estate developers, financial institutions and lenders, contractors, universities, real estate brokers, notaries, banks, and both commercial and residential property owners.
In addition, Elmira’s expertise includes providing coverage opinions under various insurance policies. She previously worked in-house at First American Title Insurance Company and HCC Surety Company, where she rendered coverage determinations and oversaw litigation arising under title insurance policies and various surety bonds.
